„Are third-party replacement batteries actually safe?"

A fair question. Our answer: Yes – if they are certified and built correctly. We design, test and ship our batteries ourselves. So you can keep your device running yourself.

What's inside

Safety is no accident. It's built into the battery.

Brand-name cells, protection circuits, temperature sensors – every component serves a purpose.

CELLONIC laptop battery: certified safety to the highest standards, UN38.3 transport-certified, IEC 62133 tested – protection against overcharging, overvoltage, short circuit and overheating.

Every CELLONIC battery meets UN38.3 (transport) and IEC 62133 (operational safety) – with built-in protection against overcharging, overvoltage, short circuit and overheating.

What gets tested

Trust you can measure.

Four international standards. Each tests a different safety aspect of our batteries.

UN38.3
Pressure, vibration and temperature cycling — safety during transport by air, sea and road.
IEC 62133
Overheating, short circuit, mechanical stress and service life in everyday use.
CE
EU-wide safety, health and environmental requirements — conformity with all legal requirements.
RoHS
Restriction of hazardous substances – lead, mercury, cadmium – in electronics. Mandatory in the EU for all electronic products.
How we test

From raw material to your door.

From cell design to delivery – five steps for consistent battery quality.

  1. Component selection
    Brand-name cells with datasheet
  2. Incoming inspection
    Voltage, capacity, resistance
  3. Precise manufacturing
    Custom-fit housings, BMS soldering
  4. Quality control
    Function and capacity tests
  5. Safe shipping
UN38.3-compliant, from our warehouse in Germany
Still have questions?

Frequently asked questions about safety

Are non-original batteries as safe as originals?
Yes, provided they are certified. CELLONIC batteries meet the same international safety standards as originals (UN38.3 for transport, IEC 62133 for operation) and are individually tested before dispatch.
How long is the warranty on CELLONIC products?
A 3-year warranty on all batteries, chargers and charging stations. In the event of a defect, you'll get a hassle-free replacement or refund.
Where do the products come from and how fast do they arrive?
Shipped from our warehouse in Germany – usually within 1–2 business days.
What does UN38.3 mean?
UN38.3 is a mandatory test for transporting lithium batteries. It covers altitude simulation, temperature cycling between –40 °C and +75 °C, vibration, shock and short-circuit tests. Batteries without a UN38.3 certificate may not be shipped anywhere in the world.
How long does a CELLONIC battery last?
Up to 500 charge cycles without noticeable performance loss – typically equivalent to 2 to 4 years of use, depending on care, temperature and usage intensity.
