Before starting, switch off your speaker and unplug all cables. Some Flip 6 units differ slightly in screw positions or connector placement depending on the serial number. This guide applies to all versions, although minor design variations may affect individual steps.

Important: Opening the speaker may affect its waterproof rating. Ensure all seals and covers are fully reseated during reassembly.

Step 1 – Remove the outer housing

1. Pry off the mesh cover using a plastic spudger.
2. Start at the lower edge opposite the control buttons, releasing the clips along the side.
3. Rotate the speaker and repeat on the other side, then lift the cover off completely.

Step 2 – Remove the right passive radiator

1. Insert the spudger under the edge of the side cap and release the four locking points. 
2. Slide the cap off.
3. Underneath, remove the two screws holding the small inner cover to access the battery compartment.

Step 3 – Detach the woofer

1. Unscrew the main woofer and lift it carefully to the side – it stays attached by a cable.
2. Handle it by the edges and avoid straining the wire.

Step 4 – Access the battery connector

1. Inside, you’ll see the battery, its four-wire cable and the connector on the circuit board.
2. Disconnect the flat cables and the large white connector (positions vary by model).
3. Slide the circuit board outward slightly to expose the two-pin battery connector.
4. If needed, shift the battery outward a little to create space.

Step 5 – Remove the old battery

1. Lift the latch on the white connector and unplug it.
2. Remove the battery from its compartment – gently loosen any padding if it’s stuck.

Step 6 – Install the new CELLONIC battery

1. Check the new battery matches the old one.
2. Place it into the compartment and reconnect the plug firmly.
3. Make sure the cable sits flat and clear of moving parts.
4. Replace the covers and screws.

Step 7 – Reassemble and test
